Review of Webposition GoldYou've no doubt heard about it. Lauded by many as the best search engine positioning software. But is it? Is it worth owning? We've used it for a while now, so here are our thoughts. Webposition Gold contains several "modules". Quite conceivably, you could buy these all elsewhere as separate programs, with Webposition they are all bundled and integratenicely. Some of it's many feature include:
Does Webposition Gold really work? Will it help you get to the top of the search engines? Well, we've been using it for a while now. And whilst we haven't magically shot to the top of the rankings (we're in an extremely crowded sector), we've had some useful placements, and can undoubtedly say Webposition has helped. We find the "Page critic" to be the most useful feature to us. Everytime we create a new page, we run it through the "critic" and fine tune it for the keywords, and search engines we are targeting. Even if you have a good knowledge of what it takes, unless it's your full time job, you just ain't gonna keep track of each search engines requirements. This is regularly updated for changes too. Reporter is also a useful function to then find where you site is ranking in each search engine, for each keyword phrase. This could take hours by hand, but Reporter gives you a full report in minutes. You can then keep track of where positions are improving or slipping and take action accordingly. There is also a traffic analyser section, which allows you to track where your traffic comes from. If you know us, you'll know we are relentless about tracking and analysing. There is other software available that will do this, but why bother, when it's included with Webposition. So, are there any drawbacks? Well, if there is one, I'd say it's that Webposition is too popular for it's own good. Anyone serious about marketing and building a serious Internet business has probably got a copy, which means you are disadvantaged if you haven't. It's not going to magically get you visitors on it's own - it's designed to be a quality tool, and be part of a quality toolkit. If you were a craftsman, Webposition would be one (but only one) of your tools - albeit one of your more important, quality ones. Like a tool, it won't do the job on it's own -you have to learn to use it. But like a good craftsman, if you want to be successful, you'll need the best tools you can get, and Webpositions features and popularity are testament to the fact that it deserves to be considered one. To sum up, we'll use yet another analogy. It's a bit like a no holds barred car race. You want the best car - lets say a Ferrari. Maybe once upon a time, you'd be able to turn up in a Ferrari, and demolish the opposition. Unfortunately, now they've all got wise. Now everybody's got one, and you need to have one just to stand any chance at all of keeping up. Having a Ferrari alone will no longer guarantee success - but it does mean that you stand a chance of keeping up with the pack and being in amongst the winners. But it would cost you lots of money, and we know... the budget is tight. We have found this absolute gem, which we'll share with you. Planet Ocean Communications know their stuff when it comes to search engines. And they've put all their knowledge into a book called "The unfair advantage to winning the search engine wars", so you can get ahead in the search engine rankings. This book is an absolute gem - nothing is left out. How to get good rankings on each of the top search engines, plus the secrets to getting listed at directories such as Yahoo! The book is updated every month, you get a six month subscription to their monthly newsletter, which keeps you up to date with changes which are constantly happening at the search engines and directories. They even have a page to "express submit" to all the majors - a great timesaver! (Note:Do not confuse this function with some of the other submission services - many of them don't work because the engines "know" them - this one avoids that pitfall) If you're really stuck, the guys at Planet Ocean will answer your queries (within reason!) by email - quickly and informatively. Just like having your own personal consultant! The book itself is very thorough,and it does go into lots of detail, for every search engine. If you are not overly technically minded, it can be a bit overpowering untill you get into the subject. But if you really want all the answers, they are there. You get updates every month - you can even download a fresh, updated copy every month at no extra cost. If you are determined to get good listings, and haven't been able to crack the search engines yet, we can only suggest two things. Either get "The Unfair Advantage", or if you've got a bit of cash, hire your own consultant (on a paid by results basis). It's difficult to describe what Roibot actually is - you could say it's a private site, but it's not like any other we've seen. You could say it's a collection of marketing tools, but that somehow doesn't seem to do it justice either. We will try to avoid labelling Roibot and just tell you what it does! Basically, it's a suite of essential marketing tools. Roibot gives you many of the tools to succeed - ad trackers, newsletter server, autoresponder - essentials in our view! And it gives them to you for just a few dollars a month - you get the whole lot for what you'd pay elsewhere for one! This started as a review, but is now sounding like a promotion, but that was not intended. It's simply because Roibot over delivers - massively. I don't know of anywhere else, where you could get just about all the marketing tools you need to get properly started, at such a great price. We are really left asking one question - how can anyone afford NOT to get Roibot?

Basically, E-ditor Pro assembles HTML pages that you have already made, into a self executing package. You have control over several aspects,such as border options, security sections etc. This enables you to password protect your e-book (or sections of it) if you wish. The program is very simple to use, and the compilation proccess can take less than aminute, start to finish. However, you do need to have produced linked pages first in HTML -as you would do a website. If you can produce a website this is no problem. Alternatively, you could use an HTML editor or Microsoft Word will save in html format. The only slight drawback in our opinion, is that once your e-book is compiled, you can't change anything - you have to re-compile again. But as this only takes a minute, I suppose it doesn't matter to much. E-ditor Pro is certainly a useful, capable tool, and we haven't found anything with the same features cheaper. Very useful to compile reports, articles etc into promotional free e-books, or to create your own high profit information product.
